An original design by Bruce Anderson and Joe GasperCarava is not a kit car - this is the only one!Hi! I'm Joe Gasper the inventor of the BREEZeasy. Ever since my teenage years, I have been in awe of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porches, and McLarens. All those exciting exotic and concept cars that fill the covers of Motor Trend, Car and Driver, Automobile, and similar magazines. I really envied our old family friend Tom Gale, a former Chrysler vice-president, who brought the the Prowler and the Viper into production. So with a little experience owning a few corvettes, helping build a 36 Chevy pick-up truck street rod, and owning a Lamborghini kit car, I decided to design and build my own poorman's version of an exotic. What I call the Carava. It's turned out to be the car of my dreams. I was fortunate to find Bruce Anderson, in Oklahoma of all places. And for about a year and a half we hashed out a design. Bruce made all the fiberglass body parts and basic frame that I used for the basis of the Carava. After getting the frame and body delivered from Oklahoma, it took five more years to put it together. There were a few times when I really wondered why I had gotten myself into such a mess. This is not a kit car, everything had to be made from scratch. In addition to the frame and fiberglass body, all kinds of brackets and unique structures had to be fabricated. Thanks to some local friends and experts like Mike Amos and Mary Gronbach who provided help along the way, I persevered until a new, one-of-a-kind car had been built. Some of the prominent items you might notice on the Carava are the Chrysler Sebring tail lights, the twin Honda grills covering the rear, the rearview mirror mounted headlights, and rear mounted Cadillac Northstar aluminum V-8 engine. WOW--I can hardly believe it myself. We hope you enjoy the pictures and videos (crank up the sound).
